The Militia Of North Africa Coming To Spectre Miniatures
July 3, 2015 by brennon
Spectre Miniatures have some more Militia units coming to the tabletop for their modern warfare miniature collection. This time they're focusing on the North African & Middle Eastern Militia...
Target Acquired
The first model is the Commander who, as the subtitle suggests, would make a perfect target for you take out on the tabletop. This chap can be the focus of your squads efforts to infiltrate his compound...
I like the idea of trying to play some tabletop games where it's not just all out fighting from the outset. I like the idea of things gradually escalating with guard patrols, silent takedowns and the chance that your squad might even do it without firing a shot!
This is where the advent of a Game Master comes in handy!
Supporting Troops
If things do go loud however then the Militia Commander has some troops to call on as you can see below. They are armed with some nasty special weapons including MGs, RPGs and Grenades...
Suddenly things might get a lot worse for your soldiers infiltrating the compound and they'll have to make a fighting retreat. I reckon you could then work this into a series of linked games where depending on the success of the assassination you might have a whole army after you or just a handful of resistance in the streets with another stealth mission.
Do you like the idea of a game like that?

Again, stunning. Not sure about the weapons. Roll on new Osprey game…
