Micro Art’s 28mm WW2 Normandy Farm Terrain Now Available
June 9, 2023 by brennon
The neat range of pre-painted terrain from Micro Art Studio is now available for you to snap up for use in your 28mm World War II wargames. Stepping away from the urban terrain they created when they started the range, the new collection allows you to take your battles in Normandy out into the farms that litter the countryside.

This collection is made up of six different kits which come in 28mm scale and on HDF. All of the detail has already been added to the buildings, both inside and out, and there is a nice film over the top of the coloured sections meaning that they shouldn't get scratched in transit.

From here it shouldn't be too much work to get this terrain onto the tabletop. Once you've cleaned it up and stuck it together with glue, you're ready to go when it comes to using these on the tabletop. They already have some weathering built into the design but you could also matte these down as well perhaps if you required. I think they look good as they are though.
What's also good is that the interiors are all detailed as you can see...

...and you'll also notice that they also come with ruined sections inside the regular buildings. This means that if your building is blasted apart by mortar fire or smashed through by a tank, you can simply take apart the building and use ruins instead. This also shows off the fact that you can take apart the buildings and play around inside them which is neat.
There are some great elements to this larger range with the Farmhouse above alongside the likes of the Stable below.

You've also got Outbuildings, a Cowshed, Dovecote, Chicken Coop and some Walls too. Everything has been designed so that it creates one large complex out in the countryside or you could use these to represent a scatter of buildings that can be found all over rural Normandy, stuck into woods and such.

Make sure to head on over to the Micro Art Studio webstore and pick up either the big bundle or each of the buildings individually. I think this would be great when used to build a HUGE World War II tabletop that goes from a town out into the farms that sit around it.
Could you be tempted to snap these up for the likes of Bolt Action?

these look flipping amazing.
They look like fantastic buildings.
Nicely designed but the colours are a little oversaturated for my taste – dulled down to a lower intensity I would be a buyer
I agree about the colors, unless maybe they appear toned-down in person.
And they aren’t cripplingly expensive either, which is nice.
