Let’s Play Blood & Valor: British VS Germans (World War I Miniatures Game)
December 4, 2019 by avernos
Justin oversees a real clash of the titans in Blood & Valor between Gerry of OnTableTop and Rufus from Firelock Games.
The guys are primed and ready to go toe to toe in Firelock's new skirmish game Blood & Valor which is set during World War One. As the Germans, Rufus is trying to capture and explode two of three objectives whilst Gerry as the British is looking to disarm the explosives or wipe out the German forces.
Have you a set of WWI miniatures ready to go for Blood & Valor and will you be picking up this wargame?
@avernos not playing the Germans…. whaaaat?
that’s alright I helped them win 😀
I see… your second in command had “a cunning plan mylord” XD
Alright, more ‘Blood and Valor’ videos!
I can’t wait to get home and watch this on the big screen.
Keep’em coming…….
Great fun,but with those die rolls, where is Gerry and what have you done with him?
+1 for not going super-detailed on the different weapons. A rifle, an LMG is an LMG. It’s not strictly true but IMO training is the real differentiator in this era.
And very dependent on the year the scenario is set
Now who makes WW1 Plastics?
From memory nobody
Depends on what scale you want to play. 1/72 and 1/35 you should find plenty. Plastic Soldier have British and Germans from their Great War game in 15mm – whether the options to build a force in this scale are available, no idea. In 28mm… as Torros said, no-one, but Wargames Atlantic have late war Germans coming next year.
I do really like the bidding mechanic. A game within a game.
a fabulous video.
Oh my god, it’s going a bit Kaiserreich.
Is there anything especially World War Oney in the Rules/System ?
The flavor I get ruleswise so far is pretty generic.
Funny that they’re fighting over who gets to destroy the same thing, but I like that it has objectives.
Fun to watch. Love the idea of small forces of First World War minis. Some WWI ranges of minis out there aren’t desperately cheap, but if you are only buying a few quality minis to get a game played you can’t really object. The new Firelock minis and the planned Atlantic Wargames Germans look promising and the game system looks great. I hope this game goes really well and will get the rules at some point. It would be great to see Firelock well represented at Salute 2020 because it could be an awesome year for them and would love… Read more »
