Perry Come To The Wounded’s Aid In Their K2 Ambulance
July 5, 2016 by dracs
Perry Miniatures have brought out a new Austin K2 Ambulance to help get the British and Commonwealth wounded safely off of the battlefield.
The K2 Ambulance was used extensively by British and Commonwealth troops, later proving popular with the Americans as well. They could reach a top speed of 50mph and one driver actually managed to carry about 27 patients in one trip by setting up further make-shift stretchers and carrying people on the steps and even on the bonnet.
Even Queen Elizabeth, then Princess, was trained to drive one during her time in the Women's Auxiliary Service.
Perry's miniature is an excellently detailed sculpt by Steve Cox. The interior is shown off superbly, with even the gear stick and brakes being shown in the driver's cabin.
The best bit though has to be the addition of the foldable steps and doors, letting you position your ambulance in the process of loading patients, or driving away to bring them to safety.
What game uses can you think of for Perry's new ambulance?

Nice as always from the Perrys
The famous Katy. Got to paint one up for the North African campaign. Ice cold Carlsberg anyone ?
@huscarle – I had the same idea! Ice Cold in Alex – a great film
love the details they have in the vehicle.
Definitely Ice Cold in Alex
I am 99% sure that I have seen a picture of a forthcoming pack of figs from the Perrys of the characters from Ice Cold in Alex
100% they were shown in Breaking news a few weeks ago
Ice cold in Alex has to be done going up a sand dune all shoulders to the wheel. One of my favorite war films, I have to build one as my own dad spent a great deal of time driving around in one.
