RECON28 is a skirmish game based in the jungles of Vietnam. And these new soldiers do look the part.
Interested in entering another theatre of historical war?
While I see no appeal in FoW Vietnam’s approach, I think skirmishing would be another matter entirely.
They also seem to be working on a computer program version of the rules one can use to facilitate/speed up gameplay.
I was checking these out just the other day. Looking good. The slight ragtag feel actually makes the model more suitable to various genres. Would work nicely in post-apocalyptic (ala Twilight 2000) setting, Cold War, modern, near future and of course Vietnam 🙂
I love eBob Miniatures; it’s one of my favorite companies. I’ve been watching Recon28 for a while, and the progress is really quite slow. This is due to the fact that eBob (Robert Soutar) is doing everything by himself. I don’t really like eBob’s other game, Rebellion, though the models are superb. I’m looking forward to trying Recon28 though, or in the very least, buying some of the miniatures.
