Warlord Games has shown off another larger ship for use in your games of Cruel Seas. This time around they're looking at the Japanese and the IJN No. 101 Class-Landing Ship.

This ship was a powerful addition to the Japanese arsenal and was armed to the teeth with all sorts of weapons as you can see here. It was a fully capable amphibious assault ships that really changed how the island hopping played out for a while.

I think it's neat that we're seeing some interesting ship types popping up in Cruel Seas beyond just the smaller boats doing the majority of the fighting. It certainly means that when it comes to objective based gameplay you've got some nice options.

You could do an American raid on a Japanese fleet for example. Boats could be rushing to try and stop these landing ships from dropping their troops off on the beach, hoping to turn the tide for their brothers in arms on the shore.

What faction are you playing in Cruel Seas?
