Unleash The Hungarian “Mace Thrower” For Warlord’s Bolt Action

Warlord Games have teased another addition to the world of Bolt Action with the Hungarian 44M "Mace Thrower" which was quite the devastating anti-tank weapon during World War II.
These weapons were used by the Hungarians during the Siege Of Budapest. With the real name of Buzogányvető it was an experimental weapon which could be used both against vehicles and enemy infantry. It had a short production run but it saw a lot of action during the period. Between 600 and 700 of them were produced and used in Budapest especially.
It could either be used in a more condensed and brutal manner to hammer through tanks or deployed in its Zápor state where it would unless a "rainfall" across the target area, brutalising enemy infantry.
If you're interested in getting stuck in with the Hungarians then there are now plenty of ways to do so!
Will you be picking these up?
"...or deployed in its Zápor state where it would unless a "rainfall" across the target area, brutalising enemy infantry"
That reminds me of the brits strange mortar they had in the first war that shot something that looked like a paint can into the enemy trenches.
🙂
Definitely on the wish list. I have a 3 Hetzer Hungarian Assault Gun Platoon up an running, which as an army has a ridiculous amount of anti tank available (I have still as yet un-assembled ZIS 3 Gun, Panzerschreck, Anti Tank Rifle), as well as 4 as yet unpainted Honved and Paratrooper squads equipped with panzerfausts.
The bonus with this weapon is the anti-personnel capability, on top of its high anti-tank, which it will really need if up against the massed armour and motor infantry of its historical opponents.
