Heer46 Invade Kickstarter With 28mm Fallschirmjäger
August 29, 2018 by brennon
Heer46 are now on Kickstarter with their campaign to bring a range of 28mm Fallschirmjäger miniatures to the tabletop.
The models are based on the German troops who would have landed in Italy during 1943-45 during the latter part of World War II. The Fallschirmjäger were some of the finest fighters in the German army, if not the best, and Italy proved to be a theatre of war which showed off their skills.
There are a number of different sets for you to check out as part of the campaign, each containing a range of infantry which have been produced in metal.
The selection of poses is what has drawn me to this range. Heer46 has been doing some sterling work on their German troops over the past couple of years and it's nice to see them continuing that trend as they look to this Kickstarter. Each of them would be very at home as part of a diorama or hidden amongst a larger squad to give it some dynamism.
Finishing things off for the Fallschirmjäger we have this HMG team which could be set up to defend sections of Italian city from Allied invasion.
I remember a particular level in Medal Of Honour Airborne (still a darn good game) where you parachuted into an Italian town and had to face down entrenched German and Italian troops. It would be awesome to re-create that on the tabletop.
Stretch Goals
Here are some of the Stretch Goals that Heer46 are aiming to unlock as the campaign progresses.
More characters and some bigger guns sounds like a rather epic idea. You could actually do that Italian city map if you had those massive guns.
Are you going to be checking this out?
