Great Escape’s Soviets Struggle Through The Rubble
July 1, 2019 by brennon
Great Escape Games are showing off some of their new releases in 28mm for those battling on the Eastern Front and Stalingrad.
This collection brings together a number of the different squads available for you to pick up from Great Escape Games. They have command elements as well as options in winter coats plus some who weren't quite so lucky to get issued something warm.
Scouting Ahead
As well as the regular troops there is also a set of Veteran Scouts who most likely know the different ways through the battered city of Stalingrad.
These Scouts come armed with an array of longer range and close range weapons, able to ambush Axis elements in the city before fading back into the shadows. These fellows would match up well against a lot of the metal and plastic options already out there from the likes of Warlord Games, so I'd certainly consider them when bulking up a force.
Have you braved collecting a large Soviet army packed with all kinds of infantry?

Fantastic looking troops.
Does anyone know how these chaps measure up to their comrades from Warlord games?
Those look really good.
Thanks folks. All our WWII figures are compatible size-wise with Artizan, Crusader, Warlord, etc. They had to be, most of my collection is Artizan!
Great to know. I could see me mixing these scouts with some of the Artizan ones for a real ragtag group of desperados!
And scouts look great if you mix the odd one in normal squads for even more ragtaggedness!
No thanks. The faces look odd, and a lot of the helmets have the wrong shape.
