New Fictional & Factual Stoessi’s Heroes Pop Up This Month
November 21, 2017 by brennon
Some new characters have popped up from the folks at Stoessi's Heroes, each with a World War II theme. We'll start with the fictional Russian Partisan Leader, Grigori Jefimowitsch, also known as Rasputin.
Grigori Jefimowitsch is based on the look of the infamous Rasputin in terms of looks but turned into an underground fighter looking to get revenge against the Germans.
As you can see he is hunkered down within his large coat, no doubt pulling a gun from within to take down a passing German officer before he vanishes into the alleyways. It's nice to see Stoessi's Heroes continuing to build characters around their own narratives as well as historically accurate ones.
Robert George Cole
As well as Grigori we also meet US Airborne Lieutenant Colonel Robert George Cole who fought at Carentan during World War II in 1944.
After calling in a smoke barrage on the German position he ordered his men to fix bayonets and charge the enemy. Many of the American soldiers were killed in 'Cole's Charge' but around a hundred of them reached the enemy lines and were able to rout them from their position.
Cole would receive the Medal of Honour for his valour but died before it could be presented to him.
Which of these two would you pick up?
"After calling in a smoke barrage on the German position he ordered his men to fix bayonets and charge the enemy..."

nice.
Cool character for my airborne unit
Does Grigori remind anyone else of a certain BoW cast member about to”unbox” something under that trenchcoat?
