Keep An Eye Out For Too Fat Lardies What A Tanker!
March 3, 2018 by brennon
Too Fat Lardies have another game coming along very soon. What A Tanker! (hah) is an awesome sounding game which, as you might imagine, has something to do with rolling armour.
The game, according to Richard from Too Fat Lardies has you playing as one tank and its commander. You will be competing to be the best tank ace out there with games lasting about an hour, perfect for clubs and a lunchtime tabletop scuffle.
There is a campaign system built into the rules to upgrade and polish the skills of your Ace, taking on new challenges with every game.
It will be up for advance orders during the next few weeks with a release at the end of March.
Will you be giving this a look?

I seen this demoed last year at the Penarth Show, it looked very very good and the players all seemed to be enjoying themselves. From what I remember and this could have changed, you controlled a single vehicle and rolled Command dice like you do in Chain of Command, depending on what you rolled was the actions you could perform.
The action seemed fast and it could be played with many people which is great for a fun club night.
I wonder how this compares to both Tanks and Bolt action Tank war.supplement.
I suspect it will have more similarities to Tanks as it appears to focus on fun first.
I LOVE TANKING!!!
Sounds to be an interesting game.
Sounds like the game Tanks should have been.
I’ve been interested in this one since the demo games last year. I’ve been tempted to invest in a similar game by another company, but knowing this was in the pipeline has made me wait. And I’m glad I did.
Please don’t be put off by the tongue-in-cheek name. If their previous titles are anything to go by, this will be a fully formed game with proper research to back it up.
They definitely have a thing for weird names, that’s for sure.
Although I do wonder how many non-British would even get the reference 😉
Just watch a few Carry On films.
I’m a tanker and I love to tank.
Apparently it makes you go blind
I wonder if you get a free copy of tank monthly with it with a special full colour centrefold spread of a tank to ermm err…study while you stare at the Intricacies of the body work
I like where you are going with this mate, it’s like combining 2 hobbies in one
Can’t wait for the WW1 aerial combat spin-off: What a Fokker.
It’s a pity they withdrew Algernon pulls it off as that was a fun WW1 game
great name 😀
Read that as What a Wanker!
I would love to see BoW do a review/let’s play of this. Perhaps bring Lardie-Richard back to the studio and have him show it to Justin, John and someone more (that have at least a modicum of respect for history)? (Mostly, I want to see this with John :p )
I will definetely pre-order this as soon as possible anyway, though…
