Empress Release Two New Packs Of 28mm Cold War British
May 25, 2021 by brennon
If you're delving into the Cold War era on the tabletop then Empress Miniatures has a few good miniatures for you if you like the idea of playing as the British. Their BAOR (British Army Of The Rhine) line-up now has two new packs of 28mm metal miniatures to tinker with.
Prone Riflemen // Empress Miniatures
The first pack comes as a set of Prone Riflemen since a lot of soldiers will be diving for cover more often than not. They have been designed so that they fit into the period of the late 1970s right through into the 1980s.
The same goes for their squad of British soldiers using Sterling SMGs.

These fellows could be added into different squads as "specialists" for close combat. You've got a couple of different poses to work with here as one goes prone, another is kneeling and getting ready to take a shot whilst a third is priming a grenade.
The Empress range is pretty great for the Cold War and there are a lot of additional British soldiers you can choose from to craft your force. When the Soviets come a'knockin the Riflemen are a' rockin!
Are you tempted to snap these up for your collection?

Just the thing for WWIII Gamers.
Been very tempted by some WWIII/Cold War for a while in a larger scale than 15mm, these might just be the thing.
Great looking figures as always from Empress.
