The Czech & Polish Forces Amass For Battlefront’s Team Yankee
September 28, 2018 by brennon
Team Yankee expands to include more factions as Battlefront shows off their Czechoslovakian and Polish People's Armies.
These new Warsaw Pact forces are there to help add more character and depth to their ongoing story about World War III on the tabletop.
Each of these main forces allows you to focus in on a starter force and then expand from there. A whole bunch of additional releases are also planned by Battlefront for the near future too.
I like that we're seeing a good mix of tanks, armoured vehicles, infantry and air units too. Infantry is something that always seems to be vastly underestimated in these games but they can be very key to winning your games.
Admittedly, in the modern period, big armoured units are more viable so it's understandable why we have these masses of metal rolling around on the tabletop.
What do you think of the new sets?

Well those are interesting looking boxed sets with some variety.
Those are not sets, they are booklets covers. These armies won’t have starter boxes.
Good for using the older tank’s on the tables.
I like the fact they just put out a booklet for these forces (rather than forcing you to buy repackaged Soviet boxes to get all the cards). Would be nice if they also did these booklets for the main forces too (to get all the cards) rather than having to buy multiple boxes (and then you end up with multiples of the cards as well). Remove the cards and data sheets from the unit boxes and just put them out as a one stop purchase to make things easy for us poor punters 🙂
For me bringing out the OT-64 in 15mm is great news. I was looking for this for years but could never find one. Thumbs up for Battlefront not only to concentrate on the major vehicles of the cold war-era!
Oh, that’s looking really interesting. Variaty is always welcome 🙂
Well, the camo looks all wrong. Like a toy
