Bombers Now Available To Pre-Order For Blood Red Skies
June 30, 2018 by brennon
All of those Blood Red Skies Bombers we talked about earlier in the week are now available to pre-order from Warlord Games. We're just gonna list them off below so you can check out what they look like!
Bristol Blenheim MK IV British Bomber
Junker JU-88 German Bomber
Junkers JU-52 German Transport Aircraft
Soviet Liszunov L-i2 Transport Aircraft
Soviet Tuploev S-B2 Bomber
All of these Bombers and larger planes come with decal sheets, additional cards and instructions for using them, the appropriate bases and of course...you get three lovely planes to play around with as well.
As I said in Hobby Hangout, I really want to just own these to paint. I think the game is cool, but the planes just look awesome.
Which will you be picking up?

Those look good.
Do these come with scenarios or are they replacements for tokens in the base game?
Are these to scale with the fighters ?
I think the Spitfire etc is 1/144 and these are 1/200
All the Zvesda fighters are 1/144
BRS is 1/200 scale as are the Zvesda Bombers and transports
Nice is the Liszunov L-i2 a copy of the Dc-3 Dakota. ?
Will make other WWII game’s more exciting like playing where eagles dare or the SAS raid on the airfields in Africa. ?
Will be getting British and German planes as already have Blood Red Skies, and I love the Blenheim.
I bought these as the Zvezda kits and wish I hadn’t, they are awful, no detail at all. Figured I’ll re-buy them when Warlord released their bombers, but they are just re-packaging Zvezda models, so it’s a big NO from me. Thought they would have learnt their lesson when they were slated for the bad re-packaged Wargames Factory Samurai, but I guess not 🙁
I saw some unboxings and the models sometimes were badly bent and out of shape and the unboxers couldnt get them straight again, neither through hot water nor with the help of a hair dryer.
I tried to up vote your post but it wouldn’t let me
Hot water worked fine for me as long as you don’t but hem back in the packaging, the fighters are so much easier and better to paint though.
These kits are £2.99 retail. So Warlord must be getting them cheaper than that. So we are getting £9 worth of planes in a £20 box. These are not looking like very good value even with the fancy re-package and stands etc.
You do get all the game components as well though, so price is not that bad, those flight stands must cost more to make than a bomber.
The flight stands probably do cost a bit, but still it’s not a great impression if the components cost more than the main bit.
I have got some of the Zvezda Blenheims, i think they are neat little kits ok not a huge amount of detail but its not a major issue for me.
