Warlord Games looks to be releasing another Bolt Action Campaign Supplement in June of this year. Osprey Games recently previewed the new Mariana & Palau Islands cover which will take you off to fight battles in the Pacific during World War II.
Here is the blurb about this particular entry into the series...
"The Mariana and Palau Islands campaign, also known as Operation Forager, was intended to facilitate the recapture of the Philippines and to provide bases for the bombing of the Japanese mainland. This new Campaign Book for Bolt Action allows players to recreate the fierce battles of Saipan, Peleliu, Guam, and many others. With new, linked scenarios, rules, troop types, and Theatre Selectors, this book provides plenty of options for both novice and veteran players alike."
So, if you're interested in playing out more of the clashes from this side of the world then you're going to be able to do so in June. I really like that you've got the linked scenarios in play here so that you can set out a series of missions which form a narrative, telling the story of your battles between you and your friends.
No doubt this will also be released alongside a bunch of new and/or repackaged kits from Warlord Games and there might even be a special pre-order bonus too. We shall see!
Have you heard much about Operation Forager and if so, what can you tell me about it?

I like it. Time to bring my Japanese army back out.
I still need to build mine!
There is some material about the island hopping in the Pacific, in particular amphibious assaults the inland fighting on the islands mentioned above, in the fabulous HBO TV series “The Pacific”. There is not only jungle fighting involved. Parts of the islands were surprisingly rocky, rough and have but little vegetation. Some of them were as volcanic and bare as Iwo Jima, With all battles involving Japanese the fighting was fierce. It includes classic beach assaults and defensive battles around airfields. Japanese players will be glad to hear the Japanese had tankettes and very light tanks. I´m surely looking forward… Read more »
