Battlegroup: Westwall Coming Soon From Plastic Soldier Company

The Plastic Soldier Company are following up on their teasers earlier this year with the news that Battlegroup: Westwall will be coming soon. This introduces more scenarios and information for playing out World War II battles at Germany's border in 1944.

Battlegroup: Westwall // The Plastic Soldier Company

Westwall is based around the Siegfried Line and the border of Germany. Despite the Siegfried Line being renewed and built on in the wake of D-Day, it could not stand up to the weaponry of the Allies as they powered over the defences. If my Google-fu is any good, this means we'll be seeing the fierce fighting of the Battle Of Hürtgen Forest followed by the Battle Of The Bulge.

The battles seemed fierce for all involved during this period, both the Allies and the Axis. So, this seems well worth diving into if you're a Late War wargamer. The idea is that this Westwall book is going to be the end of the original big ten-year project for Battlegroup alongside The Plastic Soldier Company.

Following on from Westwall, we're also going to be seeing Battlegroup Bagration and Battlegroup Casino which shouldn't be far behind this release!
