August 3, 2020 by brennon
Battlefront Miniatures has been showing off some new releases for the start of the month as they get people ready and raring to go in World War III: Team Yankee with the Americans. A Starter Force was previewed a while back but it's now out in the wild.

This American Starter Force gets you going in the game pretty readily and offers up a seriously hefty bit of armour which is then supported by a pair of Apache helicopters. You've even got some serious support in the form of those artillery pieces raining down fire on the opponent.
American Ground Support
Building on this Starter Set, you've got a whole host of new options to pick up as reinforcements right now. Leading the way we have the Bradley Troop.

Designed to work alongside the heavier armour in your army, these vehicles give you a good way to support the larger tanks and also infantry as they are rolling up the battlefield. Equipped with the latest weapons they were fairly formidable despite their somewhat dinky size.
American Air Support
Moving on from the land-based shenanigans we also have three options for those who want to watch the skies and bring down hell from on high. Battlefront Miniatures now has releases ready for the AH-64 Apache Helicopter Platoon, AV-8 Harrier Attack Flight and A-10 Warthog Fighter Flight.

AV-8 Harrier Attack Flight // WWIII: Team Yankee
A-10 Warthog Fighter Flight // WWIII: Team Yankee
These are all iconic aircraft from the period, able to dish out some serious punishment. Many wargamers and history buffs will be familiar with the ever-terrifying sound of a Warthog blasting the ground with its payload.
This is some seriously hefty firepower to lever against your opponent and should mean that you retain dominance over the skies as well as the land. It's hard to not like the look of the iconic Apache and Harriers and imagine them drifting through the skies over your rumbling army.
What do you make of these new releases?

@brennon all sitting at bottom of stairs ready for building thanks to usual prompt delivery from your selves.
@bobcockayne Will you be building and painting them up as Americans or are you planning on adding them as something new to your Fictional Countries project? Really enjoying your project and the detail your adding ?
They will be mainly used to beef up Mercians in the project. They have been a bit neglected. Bradleys will be split between them and the Manglers. The Apaches I’m thinking of using in an American style mercenary unit which is airmobile.
Thanks that’s great to hear look forward to seeing them ?
Good looking kits I wonder if they will bring out the little bird for scouting.
Well I wasn’t going to make an American force, now I am going to make one with this and the new starter set
