Amazing Pictures From The Great War Gallipoli Exhibition
May 4, 2015 by brennon
As you might know the Perry Twins have been working with Peter Jackson and an army of New Zealand wargamers to bring an amazingly realised tabletop to life commemorating The Great War and the brave deeds of both New Zealanders and Turks at Gallipoli...
A Massive Undertaking
As you might imagine such an undertaking is a massive task and the board is covered with a mass of 54mm figures representing the armies taking part on this conflict. You can see a few shots of the diorama below but if you'd like to know more there are images of the progress on the links above...
The whole thing looks utterly fantastic and its a massive credit to the team behind it that they managed to pull it all together. The miniatures look superb, the painting level is excellent, and the board itself is a fantastic piece of engineering in its own right.
If you're interested in this period of the war who just want to see something epic you need to check it out.
Have a look!

This look amazing – congratulations to all involved, with I could see it in the flesh.
Somewhere in there is 40 of my guys. So stoked to have been a part of this, can’t wait to take a trip and see it!
Good to see some updates on here. I wish I lived closer so I could see it myself
I was listening Cliffs of Gallipoli by Sabaton when I saw this.
Some of the miniatures looks so good I had to take a closer inspection just to make sure they weren’t actual soldiers Photoshopped in. I still think the title picture is real people and not plastic or metal troops. Amazing sculpts, outstanding painting, and excellent lighting/photography. An all-around superb job.
Just wow
A great many Australians (1st & 2nd Australian Division, 4th Australian Brigade, Australian Light Horse) were also involved in this battle, along with Canadians, Indians, and French. definitely one to remember, not only for its failures, but the incredible endurance and bravery exhibited by men of both sides. Definitely a great way to mark the 100th Anniversary of this memorable event. Great exhibit and article. 🙂
Most impressive!
need to get back to NZ to see this, outstanding.
Amazing work
Interesting to hear about the Maoris involvement on Maori television a link posted by the Perrys on their facebook page

Yup – our local wargamming group, Wellington Warlords, contacted all their members to get involved. I can’t wait to go and see it!
Just amazing and another reason to visit New Zealand. Some day will get that ticked off the bucket list. What a way to remember.
Fantastic. Have to check this out next time I go back to NZ!
