Three Weapon Teams Battle Across Different Bolt Action Theatres
September 4, 2023 by brennon
Warlord Games has put together three Warlord Resin Plus sets for you to scoop up for their 28mm scale Historical wargame, Bolt Action. These sets cover different theatres of war and offer up some different weapon teams that could be handy in a pinch.

We start off with the Australians who are fighting in the Far East. This set comes with three teams featuring a Light Mortar, Sniper and Flamethrower. The Australian Snipers weren't given much additional kit and in some cases, they didn't even have scopes. They were still deadly sharpshooters in the close confines of the jungle. Talking of the jungle, the Light Mortars they have access to were great in the desert but not good in the thick woodlands they found themselves fighting in.
They did, however, find a good use for the US-made Flamethrowers which could be brutally effective at clearing the jungle and baking the enemy within their own bunkers.
If you're fighting in Europe then you might also want to snap up the French Resistance Weapon Teams.

This set also comes with a Light Mortar and a Sniper team as well as a PIAT for when you need to take out some armoured vehicles. Their Snipers weren't particularly well-trained but they were eager for revenge against the Axis occupiers. The Light Mortars were easy to supply via airdrop and were often saved for just the right moment when the Resistance needed to pin down the enemy and help Allied fighters.
Last but not least, you have the PIAT which was pretty outdated by the time the Resistance got their hands on it but it was still useful when looking to surprise the enemy. Another option that's good for smuggling!
You can also get your hands on the German Heer Weapons Teams where heavy duty is the name of the game.

If you're looking to go all "Enemy At The Gates" then you might find a use for this German Sniper Team. These sharpshooters were highly trained and given darn good weaponry alongside accessories like sights and precision-manufactured ammunition.
Your Germans can also make use of the Panzerschreck which had such a powerful back-blast that the weapon team often work protective capes and masks. It also features that distinctive blast shield. It was quite a useful weapon and first saw serves in North Africa.
We also have the Flamethrower to cap things off. The Germans actually designed a version that had enough fuel for a single gout of flame. It isn't known whether or not this weapon ever got used.
All of these sets come in the aforementioned Warlord Resin Plus and you also get Order Dice to make use of them on the battlefield once you've got them painted up!
Will you be checking out these three sets?
