Watched 1917? Dive Into Firelock & Phalanx’s Blood & Valor Soon
January 2, 2020 by brennon
A lot of folks will know that Firelock Games is going to be working with Phalanx Consortium on Blood & Valor which sees its release at the end of January. This World War I game also comes out after the release of a movie set during the same period, 1917.
The film follows two soldiers through their harrowing experience as they look to warn their allies of an impending attack which could end with the deaths of not only a brother but many more souls. As it stands, 1917 has garnered a lot of praise, especially for the way it has been filmed to look like one continuous shot. Plus, of course, it has a damn good cast of actors behind it too.
So, if you've watched the films and want to learn more about World War I, that's where Blood & Valor comes in, putting you in the skirmishing boots of the soldiers of the period. You can currently pre-order the Rules and Miniatures from the American, German and French armies.
You can find it all over on the Phalanx Consortium Webstore where they have been laying out all of the goodies you need to pick up to play games set during this period. Firelock Games also sent us some rather cool photography showing off the kind of battles you could play out.
It is certainly a conflict with its very distinct style to it; trench warfare and ambushes across No Man's Land. We've also got some gameplay for you to check out for Blood & Valor which gives you a good indication of how the game plays.
So, are you tempted to dive in and play some games of Blood & Valor when the rules and miniatures come out later this month?
