Microworld Games Show Off Upcoming Fantasy Ships!
July 25, 2018 by brennon
Microworld Games show off some of what they have been working on. Fantasy ships are the name of the day with a whole host of Sea Elf designs on the horizon.
If you were reading through the news yesterday you will have noted that I had a love for the old Spartan Games' property, Uncharted Seas. When I see Fantasy ships like this it makes me yearn for a game like that to return to the tabletop.
The renders for these ships are looking awesome too and it would be brilliant to have Microworld working on not only Sea Elves but a range of other races too, giving us options to dive back into a naval battle game on the tabletop.
Blimps, zeppelins and planes are cool but they don't beat Fantasy ships like these, dragons and other creatures in the skies and sea monsters deep beneath the waves.
What do you think of these designs and what game would work well for a Fantasy clash on the high seas?
Drop your thoughts below...

Those are certainly nice designs. Although the vanes on the lookouts look a bit breakable.
I’m curious to see which other races they will represent.
Those are some nice looking ships. Those would had been great alternatives for Man’o’War back in day.
They look great an may make a fantastic looking pirates fleet.
Any idea what size these will be? Wondering if they’ll be compatible with Uncharted Seas; snapped up a load of Shroud Mage ships when Spartan were clearing out their US stock and could do with an incentive to get around to painting it. 😉
Their Facebook page says roughly 1/1200. Microworld is an American company that’s been making 6mm fantasy for years. Might be worth checking if there going to be at GenCon
Whoah there. What now? More please!
I feel like there is a gap in the market for something like Man O’War. Something with a low-ish model count, not too heavy on the simulation and some characterful fantasy designs.
But will they float?
