Microworld Games Release New 3mm Dread Elf Army

Microworld Games has now released their big (but tiny!) 3mm Dread Elf Army for those who want to play out massive battles on the tabletop. We've seen their Fantasy Orcs and Elves before but now it's the time of the evil pointy-eared kin!

There is pretty much everything that you could ever need to make an army of Dread Elves in 3mm from the folks at Microworld. Above you can see some of the Command elements that they have been working on including characters mounted on monstrous beasts, a cauldron for casting spells and also banner bearers who can sit on the front lines.

Simple rank and file miniatures are also in the mix including the Spearmen that you see here. You can also pick up Crossbowmen, Raptor Cavalry and some more specialised troops too. If you're interested in trying to paint an entire army in the space of an afternoon then this might be a good option!

With a base colour down across the force all you'd need to do is pick out their weapons, a few different mount colours, banners and such then you'd be ready to go! You could even supplement your force with some "big" artillery pieces.

If you want, you can also pick up a full Army Deal from Microworld Games which comes with everything you'd need to get started in the realm of 3mm wargaming. I genuinely think that this could be a really fun painting experiment. I've dabbled in 15mm and even painted 6mm miniatures and I think it could be a challenge tackling 3mm details!
