Micro Art Sculpt the Bust of Discworld’s Premier Witch
April 27, 2015 by dracs
Micro Art Studio have shown off the initial WiPs for their next Discworld bust, sculpting the face of Granny Weatherwax, the leader the witches don't have.
The witches of the Discworld definitely do not have a leader. But if they did, that leader would be Granny Weatherwax. Arguably the most powerful witch in the world, Granny has gone up against the Queen of the Elves, forward-thinking vampires and the power of narrative itself.
This bust is currently being worked on by Micro Art's trainee Andreas Bergman and, as with their previous Discworld miniatures, is based upon the illustrations of Paul Kidby.
As a rabid Discworld fan, I obviously really like Micro Art's miniatures. These latest busts provide an even greater opportunity for collectors to try out their painting skills and capture Pratchett's classic characters brilliantly.
Who is your favourite Discworld character?
