MaxMini’s White Star Forces Get Enhanced & Heavily Armed
April 25, 2016 by brennon
MaxMini are expanding upon their White Star Forces that previous were fighting on the battlefield in the form of Meg's Girls. Now they have some reinforcements with with Exorig Infantry.
Here you can see the Exorig Squad who are armed to the teeth and wearing some heavy duty armour too. The basis of this squad was taking American Infantry from World War II and giving them an almost Weird World War/Sci-Fi/Steampunk update which meshed together into these soldiers.
I think you'll agree that this is a rather cool idea and exo-suits seem to be very hot stuff in our tabletop medium right now. I like the design of the suits and it will be interesting to see how they paint up with maybe some 'personalisation' added to them for a bit more zing.
What's Next?
Glen, the artist behind the range has his eyes set on more for this army including this Heavy Rig.
These kind of walkers are always good fun to see on the tabletop. I like the sitting position where the driver is in that pod rather than standing and actually driving it with his own enhanced power. I can't wait to see this in miniature form.
What do you think?

They look good, but same problem as the recent Prodos stuff, what’s the point of armour with exposed sections…
It’s more of a waldo, I think. But yeah.
I agree, why no arm protection? It would be so easy to have put some kind of mesh pattern over the exposed flesh areas to simulate some kind of protection.
I think they’re meant to be modelling it on modern armour given that it usually has armoured torso and shoulders primarily with slight armour around the wrist and gloves. Though the completely bare skin does seem off since it would at least be covered in cloth if not actual armoured plates.
Very nice.
I don’t think that it is really armour as we think about it like the space marines. The exoskeleton is meant I think to increase strength and speed (kinda like what the US military is experimenting with). The armour chest plate is similar to what modern military wear now. So this isn’t to weird and actually makes a lot of sense given that the modern military is actually testing designs similar to this, though, admittedly it is a long way off of being used in combat.
