Wyrd Shows Off Renders For The Changelings Of The Neverborn
March 1, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
This week's Malifaux preview from Wyrd Games, is for the Changelings of the Neverborn.
These are minions for the faction, which makes them inexpensive to hire. The bizarre little creatures only have one action of their own, but it may be one of the most powerful ones in the game.
They can draw on the ability of anything close to them, which means the enemy needs to think very carefully about who they send in to deal with these little menaces.
Will you be adding these new Changelings to your Neverborn Crew?

Creepy! More please!
So that’s what the children in the “Village of the Damned”* look like behind their friendly mask 😉
Need to look more at their synergies to see who to run them with… Lilith or the Dreamer immediately spring to mind as possibles.
*original B&W 1960 film set in Midwich UK, not 1995 John Carpenter remake set in Midwich USA… why do they keep doing that?
Because American exec’s think the British Accent will turn people off. There is also the fine tradition in Hollywood to redo things every 10-20 years (sometimes quicker — spiderman).
To be fair Spiderman sequels/reboots have often been about the cynical contractual obligation to make films or lose the rights. Wait, is that fair?
Cause not setting the movie in UK is already a step up. All joking aside, those changelings are absolutely ace. Easily one of the best minis of the year, and the year barely started.
freaky kids.
Those look fun. Not sure they match well with what I expected were changelings on the Mysterious Emissary model tho.

The faces under the masks look a little like “grown up” versions of the ones on the emissary. I reckon painted the same colour they would look right together.
