Wyrd Science & Arcanists Pop Up For Malifaux In August
August 7, 2024 by brennon
Wyrd Games has been showing off some awesome new miniatures for their 32mm scale skirmish game, Malifaux. The Arcanists, Bayou and Outcasts get themselves a selection of new boxed sets for you to choose from.
Factory Reset // Malifaux
Leading the way is the Factory Reset box which comes with miniatures for both Altus Keene and Irena Keene. As you can see, there are some machinations afoot (quite literally) with this set and Irena Keene comes with a bevvy of blades for slicing and dicing her opponents into little pieces.
Factory Reset - Miniatures // Malifaux
Altus Kene is making good use of his magical abilities and if all else fails, he can conk you around the head with that cane of his. I really like the dapper nature of this set and how it mixes together so many elements of Malifaux that make it intriguing as a hobby to dive into.
If you're looking to indulge in a little bit of Malpractice, you can also pick up this set for the Outcasts.
Malpractice // Malifaux
The Malpractice set comes with miniatures representing Dr Silas as well as Trial & Error. Dr Silas looks like he might have done a little bit of experimentation on himself but Trial & Error are ready to do his bidding all the same!
Malpractice - Miniatures // Malifaux
Whilst the first set that we saw here really engages with the Steampunk vibes that you get from Malifaux, Malpractice explores the horror element of the game. There is certainly a diverse range of options for someone wanting to explore the game as many a genre is catered for.
Last but not least, we have Ten Gauge Ten Gallons for those heading into the Bayou.
Ten Gauge Ten Gallons // Malifaux
This set comes with the awesome Jebediah who comes flanked by a range of Habber-Dashers who are going to be blowing his opponents into bits. This certainly adds another meaning to keeping it under your hat.

Those Habber-Dashers are going to be doing plenty of habber-bashery (hah) when they get added to your crew. This set highlights the quirky and the fun also available when diving into Malifaux and I could see these being a joy to paint.
Could you be tempted by one of these new sets for Malifaux?

Walking hats, “Trial and Error” – love the humour *g*
I always love Ms. Stabby legs! That box also works in an Anya crew for Explorers Society. Some cool stuff coming this month.
Irena Keene looks like a dolled up version of Miss Step that was the alternate version of Howard Langston. Nice to see the fancy gown though in lieu of a metal corset.
Hmmm, with just the addition of that Malpractice box, I could have two more crews for the Henchman Hardcore version of the game…
