Wyrd Preview The New Faction Line Up For Malifaux Ripples Of Fate
August 3, 2016 by dracs
Wyrd Games will soon be bringing out the new source book for Malifaux, Ripples of Fate. With this will come new masters and minis for all of the factions, which Wyrd have started to publish previews for.
First, we see the Arcanists.
The Arcanists, along with their new Master Sandeep, are getting plenty of cool new toys to play with. I particularly like that they appear to be getting more creatures to summon to their side, as well as human operatives.
Following on from them, we have the Ten Thunders.
The Ten Thunders are joined by their new Master Asami, as well as plenty of new creatures inspired by Chinese mythology. This is one I am particularly excited about, as I love Wyrd's interpretations of these awesome creatures of folklore.
The Resurrectionists follow on, with some interesting new pieces of their own.
Strangely for the Resurrectionists, the focus here appears to be on mortal members. Led by their new Master Reva, I'm intrigued to see how they fit into the faction. Of course, there are plenty of necromantic goodies as well. It does look like the good Doctor McMourning has been up to his usual Frankensteinian shenanigans.
Finally, we see the Neverborn.
Being the original inhuman occupants of Malifaux, the Neverborn are looking suitably primal and twisted here. Given that their new Master is Titania, based upon Shakespeare's Queen of the Fairies, it's cool to see the Neverborn taking these folklore concepts and twisting them spectacularly.
There are more faction previews yet to come and each one brings with it new equipment options for your gangs. I'm especially excited to see more of the new miniatures that will be coming for the Guild.
Are you going to pick up the new Malifaux sourcebook? What do you think of the new faction previews?

Some beautiful artwork and cocnepts right there, brimming with creativity
Looks really tempting.
The Neverborn really amping up the demonic theme this time.
Love the Ressers. Really love the Arcanists!
Wyrd, you may take my money.
Those Arcanists… they always were my favorite, and now only more so !
If you want any of these this year you either need to visit them at Gencon OR put in a GenCon special order with Wyrd this week – In the UK that entails Postage (Fedex ~$40) and VAT (on arrival)…
Knowing the cover art is good and they tend to stay true to that art into the sculpting stage, I have no doubt they will all turn out perfect.
