Wyrd Gives A Look At The Fearsome Arcane Emissary
January 12, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
This week's Malifaux preview from Wyrd Games offers us a glimpse at one of the Emissaries of Fate, The Arcane Emissary.
This ferocious and handy beast is an Arcanist Enforcer, which offers many helpful buffs for your arcanist crew.
He brings impressive charge range, melee power, and utility as well as unique upgrades for each Arcanist Master.
Will you be taking the bull by its horns, and adding this beast to your Arcanist crew?

That is one crazy looking minotaur.
The blade arms seem rather long. Surely he wouldn’t be able to bring them straight forward as they’d either get blocked by the lower arms, or the blades would hit the floor / ground before completing their arc? So I guess they go sideways?
I dunno. It’s a neat concept (a steampunk keeper of secrets?), and it might just very well be me, but I can’t’ wrap my head around how those upper arms actually work.
I think they flick forwards about 90 degrees then act sort of like (thrusting?) swords. If they came round much further then they would probably chop the users arm off at the elbow. I think brutal stabbing weapon is what they had in mind rather than any elegant sword play.
It looks like a praying mantis as in they fold and strike with a longer reach in front of them.
Looks interesting.
Mechanical bull, Malifaux style…
