Two Wyrd Teasers This Week For Malifaux & The Other Side
August 2, 2017 by deltagamegirl22
There's just something fantastic about the rather obnoxious Gremlins of Malifaux. They just like to play dirty- unpredictable, sometimes unreliable but always entertaining on the table. This week, Wyrd Games has given us a glimpse at the latest Gremlin on the way, Gautreaux Bokor.
This little rascal may be more than just a little trouble as he has the mischief of a Gremlin and just enough arcane skill (or lack there of) to be really dangerous!
Other Side Heroes
If this isn't cool enough, Wyrd has introduced us to a new character for their mass battle tabletop game, The Other Side. Meet Margaret Belle. She's essentially the James Bond of the King's Empire. How cool is that?!
Margaret Belle uses her shadow-manipulating magic to move from one darkened corner of the battlefield to the next, sometimes even rising up from an enemy soldier's own shadow. She is not fond of firearms, but her poisoned knife is more than enough to take care of most enemies.
Despite her status as a spy, Belle has received special permission to call upon any troops she needs in pursuit of her duties, which makes her an unorthodox but effective Commander for the King's Empire. She is able to get into the action quickly by teleporting around the battlefield. Her high Speed, Defense, and Armor help her survive once she's pounced on her target.
Because of her mobility, Belle will often leave her supporting Fireteams behind. This means that she needs to take care not to get surrounded, as poor positioning will quickly lead to her untimely demise.
That being said, there is no better unit in the game for taking on enemy Commanders. The combination of her Backstab and Poisoned Knife Actions can throw a wrench into anyone's game.
If Belle manages to take out the enemy Commander, she is best served by using her Mobility to claim distant objectives or focus on other vulnerable units, as she fairs poorly in drawn-out engagements.
What do you think of these new characters from Wyrd?

I love the Margret Belle mini and background, and there is something about a spirit riding Gremlin that is impossible to hate too. Really have to choose a faction for Malifaux (Arcanists and Neverborn are leading the charge at the moment. I have already chosen an Other side Faction and I’m happy to say that Margret Belle is in it …. (love it when things like this happen …. now roll on kickstarter goodies)
Margaret Belle look very nice.
Very much on board for the Margaret Belle model, makes me want to become a painter just to do right by her. 🙂
a great figure she reminds me of NEO.
I’ve always liked how they sculpt vapors, fire and such. They really do capture the motion and shape rather well.
she’s very nice. she has a bit of an anime thing going on, at least to my eyes she does.
Pale skin and heavy on the under eye shading ….. she almost has a skull thing going, definitely a dangerous lady. ….. she can “James Bond ” me all she likes ……..sigh
