PlastCraft have now released their Color-ED Terrain for Malifaux that has a bayoux theme to it. With that in mind lets head down to the swamps and find out what is hiding around this abandoned train station...

All Aboard!

First up we'll go and visit the train station. I don't imagine many steam engines have been powering through here though in recent years. The first image is for the Train Halt...

Train Halt

...and this is the Train Station proper. All of these pieces of terrain can be entered and walked around in, which is always cool for Malifaux. I think the finish is a little 'glossy' on the buildings but it would be interesting to see if you could dull it down with weathering materials.

Train Station

That's not to say I don't like the terrain pieces. I think they've captured the broken down and slightly warped nature of Malifaux and it also tells a story. I like to think that the clock there on the front of the station is stuck on that time forever and the poor souls that once dwelt here are trapped in time somehow.

Railway Props

Last but not least we have the Railway Props which are always incredibly useful for giving you some additional cover terrain to hide behind. Terrain like this also means you don't have swathes of land on the tabletop which are devoid of cover and character.

Swamp Life

As well as the train station there are also some structures for those creatures and peoples that live in the swamp. The Swamp Cottage and Swamp Walkways give you somewhere to place an objective AND some nice height on your tabletop.

Swamp Cottage

Swamp Walkway Set

I do love having a bit of height and risk to tabletops. You could even make it so that the swamp beneath has some strange monsters within it and stepping in the sludge could stir their ire!

Overall, a nice set from PlastCraft which expand the range and takes your games to an entirely different theatre.

We can't wait to see what they do next...
