Polish Company PlayMaty Makes Mats for Malifaux
February 18, 2015 by dracs
Polish company PlayMaty have come out with a selection of mats designed to create attractive tabletops for your Malifaux games.
Each of these detailed play mats feature a design that would lend itself well to the urban environments often favoured by the setting of Malifaux. Quite what the grid effect they each have is supposed to be I can't quite say, possibly the remnants of Malifaux's previous architects.
The good thing (or possibly bad thing, depending on your thinking) is that there is nothing about these that specifically marks them out as being part of Malifaux. While this might remove a bit from the character, it does mean they can be used for other game settings.
PlayMaty are currently in the process of setting up their international website, but if you are outside Poland you can still email them at [email protected] to work out things like shipping costs etc.
Do you think PlayMaty's mats would work well for Malifaux?

Been on their site, not found a material they are made of though. Hopefull more info to follow when their site is better established. 🙂
i like the first one, that grid pattern is a bit strong on the rest. It’s a little too cluttered to really mach building footprints.
I think the grid is a pattern in the stone rather than ruin footprints. But it is a bit strong in some of them I agree. But the first one looks really nice,
Hello all, I’m sorry for not giving all details about our playmat material but it is hard to describe this because technology we used to produce playmats is created by us, so it is not similar to others. What I can say is that we used special elastic poliester material prepared for wargames. It’s highly resistant for scratches, liquids etc.. It fits well to the base and always lays flat on it. What is important in this technology we can produce double-sided playmats in same price, so actually you can 2in1 all what you have to do is to choose… Read more »

i like the 4×4 stuff you do as well, wil look back when you get international ordering sorting out.
Hi guys, playmayt translates as playmats 😉 and material is almost like rubbery foam w. cloth on top almost like computer mouse pads so its sturdy and foldable. Also you could submit if you wish something personalised your own graphics and grids. cheers
