Enter A Creepy Malifaux Ghost Town With Plast Craft’s New Color-ED Terrain
April 12, 2017 by brennon
Plast Craft Games are showing off another addition to their Malifaux Collection, as part of the Color-ED range, today as they head to a creepy Ghost Town and explore some more fascinating buildings.
As you can see the collection shows off a ruined and ghostly town that is barely holding out against whatever forces dwell out there in the woods. A large wall now forms the last bastion of defence against your foes, although maybe they are already within the walls and seeking to bring you down from within?
There are a number of different buildings included within the collection offering you a broken down and destroyed world to play your games in.
The multiple levels of play offered by the terrain are great for the skirmish game of Malifaux. Twin that with plenty of ways to break up and indeed give line of sight and you've got a great set.
As well as the smaller buildings that you've seen above there's also this impressive Town Hall which looks like it would be a lot of fun to fight over.
All of the terrain is pre-coloured and ready to use. All you need to do is get it stuck together and make sure that you do a bit of hobbying to those edges to make them blend easier into the rest of the structure.
Most spectacular of all, however, is probably this massive Wall that would stretch across your tabletop.
I think they've got the bug for building walls since their last Samurai project. This would look fantastic with some Guild defenders rushing to the ramparts to try and hold back whatever strange creatures are baying for their blood. If you're into your role-playing and like Through The Breach imagine how impressive this would be!
Heading Into Town
As we dive into the town you get a better sense of the detail that has been worked into the buildings.
All you need is a bit more scatter terrain and you'd have a great set-up for a showdown. I really like the smaller wooden components you're seeing with these kits which add an extra level of complexity to the buildings.
Mix that with the fact that all of their buildings have interiors and you could legitimately hide and stealth your way across the board as long as your opponent wasn't watching too closely!
Maybe you could even go as far as to adding a smoke machine into the mix. We're seeing a lot of people using special effects like lights and more right now so that could be cool.
Will you be picking this up for your games of Malifaux, or maybe The Other Side when it comes out? You might even have an entirely different game in mind for use with this terrain...

Love the look of it, although most games of Malifaux I see don’t tend to make use of internal spaces a bit of elevation and interesting cover is always useful.
Just gimme somewhere nice to deploy Hans with his upgrade… players wlll know what I mean! 😉
this will be great for zombie and post-apocalyptic games as well
was thinking the same thing, looks like a nifty set…
Not a Malifaux player, but that is a fantastic set. @hazard is right, it could be used for other games too.
That would make a great No Man’s Land table for the Batman miniatures game.
The brick building is great! Will pick up some for my Steam Punk games 😀
That’s an awesome looking set of terrain, as people are saying you could drop that down for quite a few things.
looks fabulous for a strong point for many games as others have said.
This partnership has produced great scenery before, but I think they have outdone themselves here fabulous stuff.
It also might be useful for when the Grymkin are released for Hordes.
Do we have any idea the price?
Wanna play a game in the Dropzone Commander Universe on this, Razormworms preying within the ruins and Mechs stalking the streets while aircraft fly overhead and drop Tanks…
That would be awesome!!!!
Probably even Konflikt 44 would play nice on this.
I got a Back to the Future clock tower vibe from one of those buildings.
Unfortunately they continued their poor decision to only print on one side of the sheet. For closed structures, it doesnt matter, but those big, blank white interiors or reverse sides on the ruins and walls look bad for something priced like a finished product.
This has always been my impression too. I bought some of their stuff to be disappointed that it only looked good from one angle.
loving the look of the ghost town, can see zombies shambling around it.
