This Weekend Is The Magic Origins Pre-Release!
July 9, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
Unless you've been on another plane (like Jace's home of Vryn), Magic players are undoubtedly looking forward to the Pre-release of Magic Origins this weekend! If you have not already reserved your space in an event, there's still time! Find yourself a local store with Magic, decide which format you'd like to participate in, and off you go!
Will you try sealed, and construct your deck on the fly from the Planeswalker themed box you chose? Or perhaps you and a friend want to go to the prerelease together and have a go at Two-Headed Dragon - where each player gets a prerelease pack and you play in two person teams against each other (I love this format!)?
Are you new to the game and not feeling quite confident to play under the pressure of constructing your own deck? Then try Open Dueling, where players face off against one another with 60 card Intro Packs, where everyone is one a relatively level playing field as far as balanced decks go.
Wizards of the Coast offer great perks to getting in on a pre-release too - like scoring a Promo Card! These are special rares and one mythic rare that players get one of with their participation.
Don't forget the color specific, life counter dice and story booklets!
Will you be playing in a prerelease for Magic Origins this weekend?

Yes, I’ll be heading off to meet up with a few friends in Bristol for some fun with cards; however, it’s the set after Origins I’m interested in, if only so we can rotate out some cards and see some new decks (I honestly can’t help but feel standard is a bit stale atm).
Origins is not bad way to end tradition that is basic sets.
