Magic: The Gathering Anime Series Coming To Netflix
June 4, 2019 by brennon
Netflix and the Russo Brothers, responsible for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Endgame and more, are going to be bringing a Magic: The Gathering anime series to screens in the near future.
There is no timescale for this particular show just yet but it will be an entirely new story within the world of Magic: The Gathering that focuses in on the Planeswalkers and the contrast threats that dwell in the darkness.
We've already seen a peek at Chandra in the teaser above but one assumes we're going to be seeing this story follow all of the main characters. I'm sure fan favourite Jace Beleren is going to pop up somewhere for example.
I am very much looking forward to this and maybe...just maybe, if this gets off the ground we could see them looking to do something Dungeons & Dragons related too.
Will you be keeping an eye out for more information on this?

Okay this gets me Fire Up for the show. Maybe if Netflick proves them selves in the Eyes of the God Emperor…Then maybe they will be graced with the Blessing to tell the tales of Warhammer 40,000.
Yes, they went down the anime route, probably the only way to do this properly without a huge budget.
a tv show when now now now?
Bring back the old D&D cartoon. Saturday mornings have never been the same without it (well it and Rentaghost).
Lol yes.
Where’s Tim? ?
So now MtG finally joins glorious group of TCGs (Yu-Gi-Oh!, Cardfight Vanguard, XZ, Rage of the Bahamut and etc.) that have they own anime. It was about damn time.
I’ve been out of Magic for the longest time but, “color” me interested 😉
Is it going to be Anime anime or just digital animation? And When do expect this to be released?
Nice. I know nothing of the lore of Magic so this sounds like a fun way to get into it.
As former MtG player I can say that it does have huge expansive lore so I can image this one helping a lot those that want to delve into it.
nice.
