New SBG Magazine Issue Launches With A Battle For Dale
September 5, 2017 by brennon
The team behind the SBG Magazine at the GBHL Youtube Channel, focused on bringing you a dose of awesome Lord of the Rings & Hobbit content, are proud to announce their latest issue is now available for you to snap up.
This new issue of the magazine is available for you to snap up from the guys simply by emailing them at [email protected] featuring the rather epic Battle Of Dale as well as plenty of awesome hobby and tactical content too.
These magazines are a labour of love for these guys and you can see as they pull together some superb articles. One thing that's incredibly important is the pictures in these magazines and thankfully they are all fantastic and feature some rather nicely painted miniatures too.
My favourite article in this issue was the one on sculpting where Dave Fredricks showed off how to actually sculpt up, from scratch, Bard and his family. It's quite the tutorial. I still don't think I'll be attempting it anytime soon though, it looks very daunting!
This doesn't really do justice to some of the content in the magazine and the Battle Of Dale is simply amazing once you see some of the terrain they've made for it in more detail. It truly is quite the breathtaking set-up and they've crafted a really nice and exciting battle report to go along with it too.
Make sure to check this out if you're a fan of Middle-Earth.

Well this looks interesting I knew nothing of this (Yes I am fuklly aware that libraries could be filled with things I know nothing of but bear with me) I will look into this , Many thanks Ben ( or should that be Mr Furiously Sexy??)
oops obvious typo…. fuklly isn’t a word and sounds slightly indecent … my apologies to the community at large … very embarrassed
It’s a great mag! Worth picking up all of them!
Well that seems really interesting.
This is great, had some friends pick it up at Ardacon this year! They’ve done a great job on this one! And a 500 minis battle report! :O
Is this PDF only or do they print it? It looks like a lot of fun! 🙂
There is a print version available and a PDF too. Just have to email them for more details on picking up a copy 🙂
Glad you enjoyed the sculpting article Ben 🙂 – Dave
I would dearly love for this to be on WargameVault, or something similar. I’m sure that would give more exposure, too.
nice to see.
The first four are brilliant. I’ll definitely pick this up.
