Nazgul Of Dol-Guldur Available To Pre-Order From Forge World
January 21, 2018 by dracs
Forge World has put the first set of the Nazgul of Dol-Guldur up for pre-order, ready to spread the dark will of Sauron to Middle-Earth.
This set features three of the Dark Lord's trusted servants, including the leader of the Ringwraiths himself, the Witch King of Angmar.
He is supported by the sinister Dark Headsman and the Slayer of Men, who is himself one of two among the Nazgul.
The models themselves are very well detailed and capture the fearful beings that fought the White Council.
I find the hooded Ringwraiths to be absolutely terrifying, but it is also very cool to see them individually and get a sense of the backstory that could surround each of them.
Which of the Nazgul do you think is the coolest?

Picked up the first 6 at the open day, fantastic sculpts.
Those look really nice.
Is this really the best Forge World can come up with these days? I don’t sense any of the power, menace, or darkness that the characters had. As with the first one, they look like they’re waiting for a bus.
They are lovely sculpts, and I am very tempted, but for me I am just a little disappointed that they are static poses. I would have loved more animated action poses and would have been all over them if they were. However for FW pricing I have to really, really love the models to commit to buy and, for me I’m just not so sure. For nearly 100 for what will eventually be nine static models (just 3 of course will not be enough, my gamer OCD means if I bought one set I would have to get the lot!)… Read more »
I like the sculpts, would prefer more motion and hints at the very etheral nature they have in the films.
Id pay 32£ for those if it also included the buss
they look great hopefully the other six will be as good.
I like the one with the axe. He´s a kind of executioner waiting for the victim to be brought forth and beheaded. That makes a static pose acceptable.
I prefer the Witch King with his giant morning star. My favourite pose for him would be spread arms, kind of to embrace maidens from Rohan, Hobbits from the Shire and ordinary men to make them his minions.
As for the bus: Western Line to Minas Tirith goes from Minas Morgul, not Dol Goldur.
I think they are set during the (five army’s) before the Mordor army’s had control of the ground’s and were still based at Dol Guldur fortress @jemmy
It’s the #23 bus, an express that bypasses the Shire. There’s a sign on it that says “You must be this high to ride the bus,” with an accompanying measure of 4′, a clear case of discrimination against hobbits.
Dark Headsman – scary. Poo came out…
The head chopper is a great looking mini. At first I thought I liked them all… but they don’t look good together as they all have the exact same pose/stance and looking over shoulder, which is kinda odd :/
There is something about these sculpts I just don’t like, that goes for all the Dol Guldur Nazgul. Only one I actually like is Slayer of Men.
