Iron Hills Dwarf Commanders Now Available From Forge World
January 8, 2017 by brennon
Forge World has now released their Iron Hills Dwarf Commanders for use in your games of The Hobbit. Take a look at them as just the start of a new raft of awesome releases on the way from the team.
This Command Set comes with a Captain and a Banner Bearer to add to your existing collection of Dwarf Warriors serving Dain Ironfoot. As I mentioned when we saw teasers of the models, I think they hit the nail on the head and I like their metal banner which is very Dwarven.
There will be a lot more on the way from Forge World over the next few weeks so keep an eye on the website to see more. I'm looking forward to them venturing beyond The Hobbit and maybe going back to the Lord of the Rings too!
Will you be buying this pair of warriors?

Will be picking up 3 of these for my 3 Warbands.
Can’t wait for the Goat Cavalry they showcased at last weeks open day.
I’m sure some will balk at the price at £20 for the two but I’m happy enough to pay that for Forgeworld resin, would not have not been quite so cheerful if it was finecast.
Keep up the awesome work Middle Earth Team.
What @wesadie1969 said with knobs on. Mine is ordered already
Having seen them up close they are amazing. However price is an issue, most of the range seems reasonable but character are about 33% more than I feel is reasonable even for quality material.
Still will probably get there but pricing has made me re-evaluate how I buy into the new stuff.
they look great for the game.
Good looking minis, not too bad price wise considering it is forge world.
Cool models indeed, the cost is ridiculous though. I’ve been dealing with resin models for years and years, including FW. Quite frankly models of that size and with FW inconsistent casting quality, though great service, simply aren’t worth the pricetag.
LotR / The Hobbit have had this issue of ridiculously uneven pricing since day one. The plastics, though having limited number of poses, are cheap-ish, most of the blisters are decent, but then character models go completely insane (especially the old character X on foot and mounted packs).
