Take A Closer Look At The Latest Hobbit SBG Issue
April 22, 2016 by brennon
The minds behind the SBG Magazine for The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings community have given us a better look inside the pages of their latest issues which has a distinct dark and doomed feel to it. See what you think of a glimpse inside below...
Inside this issue they have some really good articles looking at building up that fantastic Dol Guldur scenery piece that you see where as well as the Necromancer himself, Sauron, by Shadow & Flame.
As well as that they have a wonderful article by one of their contributors talking about getting out there and joining in with the gaming world. You shouldn't fear travelling to meet new people as most of us are really nice people!
As well as a scenario and battle report they have plenty of additional articles looking at tactics for The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings as you can see below. If you'd like to get your hands on one of these magazines then you can contact them at [email protected].
I was lucky enough to get an early issue of this and it was a really good read!
One of the big Middle-Earth tournaments is actually going on this weekend up in Stockport so if you're there comment in the forums with how it was for you.
Will you be picking this up?

It’s looking great, the GBHL team have rally got to be recognised for their efforts in keeping the enthusiasm going for the hobbit game.
I read the first two issues online and I thought they were really good. Plenty of content, batreps, tactica, painting tutorials and news. It kind of reminded me of another magazine in its heyday.
Time to support my Hobbit Hobby.
By the fans, for the fans. That explains why it’s so good.
Really can’t wait for this, sent them my money as a preorder type deal so should get it as quick as possible. The first two are brilliant and well worth the purchase
They do great stuff, and from reports from Throne of Skulls Adam Troke gave them a shout out for helping show GW bosses the SBG is worth continuing to support.
Because of them my scouring of the shire minis are one of my next projects.
Oh and the conversions for the wraiths are a thing of beauty
Are pdfs of these free to download? If so from where? I didn’t think you had to email and request a copy before…
I seem to remember them offering a limited number of paid-for printed versions.
