So not strictly a bit of miniature news, but check out these images of the new Lego Lord of the Rings that will be coming this year, the year of The Hobbit!
These guys look fantastic and I think I might just HAVE to get hold of these. I can imagine a lot of different sets being created for not only the trilogy of films but also for the upcoming Hobbit film. Some other promotional images are floating around on the net...
Will you guys pick up some of these newest sets from the guys at Lego when it all gets released over the Summer? Could you even see Lego making something along the lines of their Heroica series to go along with these models, making a dungeon running Lord of the Rings experience?

Looking good! Lego never gets old. I probably will pick up a piece or two. Im really hoping this means a Lego Lord of the Rings video game
I would love to see a Lego Lord of the Rings game pop up – from this at least they have already worked on the 3D renders so it wouldn’t be far from the truth. Plenty of characters to choose from too.

LotR is not safe even from Lego. Next natural step would be Lego LotR video game.
Personally I’m waiting on a Lego rocky horror picture show, at that point I’ll know the world is no longer in control of its own faculties and drift off into space on my firework powered bamboo chair.
