We take a look at what's inside the RuneWars box that the Hobby folk here are getting to work through.
Packed with models and with plenty to get on with this is going to be quite the weekend! Let's see what Jason has inside his box of goodies?
Looks good, I’m would like to know the quality of the plastic/resin of the minis.
Typical rammed box of stuff from FFG. But no throwing the bags of my plastic crack around Justin!
aahhh. New box smell. I can almost smell it from here.
My wallet smellt it too and it ran to the hills.
Can’t beat the concentrated out-gassed chemicals from a newly opened box. Like money in a gamer’s wallet, it’s gone so quickly.

I think we all do that “ahhhh….new box smell.” LOL!
These boxes were all over Adepticon. So many people picked them up with their VIG swag bags. I didn’t have time to try the demo, but I’m interested in the simplified X-Wingy system.
Sorry its the undead for me would trade away the pesky humans for more 🙂

A little build demo would be nice to see them come together. You would think Warren would have John beavering away at a table with his set.

That’s a great looking box. I think I should get more starter sets as apposed to getting a rulebook and then building a custom force/list from there. The only starter box I have is X-wing and that was a lot easier to start playing immediately, but it’s small and pre=painted so maybe a bit of an unfair comparison.
The X-wing starter set is a brilliant entry point. I agree with you on buying starter sets for new games, best way to get friends interested and also game straight away, usually for a small expense. Fantasy Flight Games do a great job on with their starter sets and Rune Wars looks like another quality product and easy for people to ‘game right out of the box’.

i know FFG makes great games with good components, i own a lot of those, But at first i was rather sceptical about this game … but seeing more and more of it … guess i’ll need to get my own copy of the game 😉
