The Chinese text is a great touch.
Every sci fi influence is coming to mind and the Firefly mix of East and West cultures would influence my paint scheme ideas.

the text is Japanese, his fleet is named after the imperial fleet and the amazing thing i think is that he painted that in a morning and he free-handed that prow detail…. the man is a legend
