While of course the Team Yankee conflict right now is between the US and the Soviets there's always the chance that other countries would start to get stuck in as well on both sides...

I’d definitely like to see some British forces, although I think they should probably wait until the Yanks and Soviets have been fleshed out.

Since Germany is in the epicenter of the unfolding conflict I’d like to see both Germany’s as soon as possible.
I agree. The logical choices next would be East & West Germany. Although maybe a NATO / Warsaw PAct release with elements from multiple nations (not full armies) would be pretty cool.
@zwiebel and @dnr0d are correct. Gaming and “imagineering” for Lloydoslavia has been great fun, but in all seriousness, this war starts with an invasion of West Germany by the Warsaw Pact. Their Bundeswehr is involved from the very first shot fired, at the very same time as the US and UK. Netherlands also had a corps ready. Germany. Then Iwould like for the Swede to get invoulved at some point. But to be fair the French and British should be after the Germans, they are NATO countries with armies in Germany^^
I think the odds of BF doing Swedes are really low, sadly. Armies Army is planning on doing them however, probably through a kickstarter though to secure enough purchases to support the line.
You would just have to come up with your own army lists and rules. (and convince your opponent of how awesome it would be)

I am already sort of working on an army list for my club but it is har dto actually rate swedish forces. I would say that the traning in the 80 should make us comparable to if not in some respect superior to warsawa pact forces but that might be optimistic.
I think that would really depend on what unit you want to model. A Home Guard with mausers or a Local Defence Battalion who hasn’t been on an exercise in 8 years would probably be lower.
Swedish armoured training with laser systems during dueling training? Great training, poor performance against T-72A front armour and poor protection from 125mm. Luckily we would probably fair of against T-55s, PT-76s and MT-LBs.
I definitely can’t wait to see if Brits come out for this.
I think, that first “minor” forces to be in TY should be East and West Germans, next may be France and Poland, and then UK and Czechs.
The West Germans, of course – it’s in their country. I hope to see British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) and FRG Bundeswehr units soon. For the Warsaw Pact, I want T-80s, T-64s, and T-55s soon.
I would love to start rolling around in Leopards soon but I think BAOR is probably next. Chieftains and all that kit.

I’d like to see a Chieftain and Harriers in 15mm so in that sense I’m pretty biased.
Other than that, introduce the mighty Sweden! Check out their ‘S tanks’ of the era, seriously funky looking!
That S tank looks really cool. Im up for a swedish force with Norwegian allies to add som leopards to the mix 😉

I’d think West Germany would jump in first because that’s where the fighting will occur but I’d like to see the French as the next faction.
West Germany, France and the UK would have fought alongside the Americans straight away had the cold war gone hot, given the proximity of their forces/armies in the area anyway.
I want to see the Brits so we can try yank on Brit.
Going to have to say West Germans for West Germany. Would love me some brits though. Or Polish T-55s from the book.
This poll is obviously the work of the reactionary warmongering imperialists! It lacks any proper socialist nations of the Warsaw Pact. If it was a fair poll, we would have had, at the very least, the option to choose the better Germany… The German Democratic Republic!
While I guess West Germany would be the first in the fight I don’t know if they had any real or interessting weaponry at that time?

Bit of a silly question (to say the least). The US like the UK and west Germany and other countries were all part of NATO so would of gone to war at the same time. The US was not some stand alone country that was taking on the east it was part of an integrated alliance.

Would love to see the British Army Of the Rhine…but voted West Germany since WWIII is going to involve most of the fighting in their country.
First expansion should be something like Bruder gegen Bruder, Nationale Volksarmee vs Bundeswehr.

Germans and British for sure, but I’m planning to build an italian force as soon as the leopards come out!
As I understand it the post 1955 West German Landsheer was mostly focussed on countering the East German forces; are we assuming that they’re already in with the Soviets?
The East German NVA was established in 1956, so maybe they were there to counter the Landsheer… I bet that’s the official story from the East Germans!
