The Hobbying & Gaming Gets Underway

We've got some very awesome Boot Campers already learning to play the game with Lukasz as well as delving into hobby.

Some of them have already got base paint down and are working on their models! I wonder if we're going to see some fully painted crews by the end of the weekend?

I have minis for games that went out of print 20 years ago that I haven’t gotten around to painting yet. This whole Day 1 painting just blows my mind.

I do struggle with getting models painted quickly, but I find the AP colour primers help for some models.

I dont think you can teach this game without a top hat and googles!

The whole boot camp is a nice motivator to not only play the game but to get stuck in on the miniatures themselves. While I don’t have any Wolsung mini’s yet I have plenty to work on this weekend.

Painting shard for me so instead of something I can’t do well. I pay somebody to do it. So it’s just expensive. I’ve Wolsung from the KS enough for 5 factions and buildings for a total town.

The rulebook looks really nice and day 1 painting, wow!

I’d be a bit like Lloyd and spend way too much time painting instead of playing. But I would go to the pub!

Great thing about skirmish games is the small quantity of figures. This kind of game is well suited to a boot camp. I would expect that we will see quite a few of the faction boxes painted.

Agree, one of the main reasons I like skirmish games (that and I can never seem to stick to just one genre or period!)

I love how they have flavor pieces, like the phone booth.

I’m obviously going to have to secure myself a top hat and googles if I’m going to get anywhere this weekend 🙂

This is actually so refreshing and different to see the proper steam punk themed minis. Great choice for an interesting boot camp.

are these miniatures resin or metal? I thought they were metal but in some of the pics they look resin.
