Unpainted models, oh no the horror 🙁
May the best dude win
Here’s where Warmahordes kinda loses points for me. Those snapshots look like soldiers on parade….barely any terrain on the boards and even what’s present is small and drab. Even huge Napoleonic games, with their large formations of troops, can be (and are) played on well decorated tables. Why doesn;t anyone seem to try such with WM/H? Is it just too clunky with the rules?
I think it is because WM/H is focusing on the competitive side of the game. Overly dense terrain could potentially benefit one faction over the other too much; hence, the army building and tactical decision taking aspect of the game becoming less impactful to the game’s outcome.
However, too little terrain is also not preferable because it’ll make the decision whether a player wants to go first or pick sides is irrelevant.
Should be some good games, and would be fun to play against some of the best. Interesting about the lack of terrain on the tables, wonder if they are going to be doing the same for Sundays championships?
Great coverage guys please more of this!
Never having played Warmahordes before, I don’t know what scoring is like. Is painting not something most tournaments care about? Is all the grey plastic just because this is the “play against the masters” games?
Keep up the coverage guys
This is epic!
Warmachine is cool!
This looks fun! 🙂
This was cool!
