Eventhough the basing really isn’t the focus of the competition I can’t help but say that the bases do factor into a good display. Tying it all together makes the work actually “work”

It’s always nice to see what can be done.
Nobody 20 years ago would have probably thought miniature painting like that was possible…. Given advances in paint,shades, and airbrushes, maybe it wasn’t?
That doesn’t take anything away from the sheer skill and artistry of these painters though.
