The Battle Of Soggy Bottom...In Two Scales
In May 1643, Borsetshire had been rocket by the catastrophe that had befallen the Parliamentarian cause at Lessie's Moor. Alderman Grundy's army had collapsed under the pressure of Prince Philip Frederick's Oxford House.
This is looking awesome in (what we suspect to be) 6mm and 28mm!
The county was now prey to the depredations of the Honourable Freddy's dissipated cronies!
Cavalry charges. Nothing like it.
what is the second scale? 10mm or 15mm? Something else?
The smaller scale us using Andrew Bretnalls lovely 10mm collection
Should add it’s using For King and Parliament which is an ECW version of To the Strongest and is played on a grid
Wonderfully inspiring table…
I’m not sure what they’re fighting for in a battle with that name.
Lovely work at both scales!
Wow, interesting!
They look great
View halloo!!
Great looking table and epic portrayal of the battle, it is awesome to see so many Historicals and all the variety of scale both in mini size and in force size.
Wow that is a massive table and very nicely painted models.
Soggy bottom … does this allude to archers with their pants down?
Great idea to do the same battle in two scales
Awesome
The smaller scale really shines on this table.
for king and country!!
LOVE the 10mm! Original idea to have the same game run in parallel in 2 different scales as well. Kudos to the lads who made it happen.
Inspiring! Well done.
so… many…. models arghhhh they must have had a John.
great pictures.
Nothing beats the sight of Cavalry on the charge 🙂 .
I love all these mass battle games!
I prefer the bigger ones althought sure the smalller allows for greater batles… but the details in the big minis are far superior imo…
Who doesn’t love a great cavalry charge? Well, other then the dudes being charged!!
