Flames Of War 4th Edition Launch Weekend Blog!
Studio progress update
The studio guys are busily assembling models. Some have made more progress than others, like studio painter Aaron (who, to be fair, started work on his army in advance of the weekend and has already painted most of the camouflage on his Grants). James is working on a couple of troops of Crusaders to expand his old British desert army, and has also used the release of the plastic Grant/Lee as an excuse to start a sneaky side project inspired by a somewhat notorious tank-related anime series. It's not all plastic models – the release of Afrika Korps has inspired Chris to finally get to work on an old metal and resin panzer army which has been sitting at the bottom of his (shamefully large) 'to be painted at some point, when I get around to it' pile.
nice looking tanks 🙂 looks like great fun
Plastics are great and I love how more companies can start to make the switch.
What is the weight like, are they in need of a little split shot to feel right?
This has got me excited for Flames of War again so I’m now building the6 Shermans and 2 Fireflies from the Open Fire box. Can’t believe theres already a new edition.
Those Grants look really nice, I’m looking forward to getting some to paint up as Lees when the Americans are released.
I really love seeing the desert camos, just some crackin’ camo schemes.
Looking good!
Keep up the good work you’re inspiring me to paint a new force!
Nice to see Rabbit Team making an appearance
Nothing beats a nice line up of “Tanks”, German, British or American there`s nothing to beat them.
I do like the amount of tanks you get to play with at this scale.
“Shamefully large”? So he’s a typical wargamer? 😉
need some of those beauties but will start with a starter box 🙂
