Stopping In With Open Combat

As well as looking at plenty of board games (of which there are many to come!) we also took a look at Open Combat
This is a very great looking tabletop wargame which is based around making the factions YOU want to make. This means designing their stats and all sorts. It's very open ended - hence the name.
Also comes with funky dice.
Can’t recommend Carl Brown’s Open Combat book enough, it’s a lovely product. System is fun and highly adaptable for all kinds of genres (pre-gunpowder), be they historical or fantasy. Wonderfully well put together book as well, clear, nicely laid out and fires the imagination.
Well worth a read for if you like creating your own heroes, minions, adventures and campaigns.
