Fabled Realms Beta Weekend - Saturday
Rulebook & Minis Chat With Gaz
We take a look at the work that Gaz has been doing painting up his forces before he gets stuck into the world of Fabled Realms.
He usually spends a lot of time painting up miniatures at these weekends but this time around he is working on getting in some games later on today and throughout Sunday as well.
Great review of the miniatures. But by all means, go beta test the game and make it the best it can be!
Spent quite a few hours yesterday going through the cards and giving feedback in each one. Feel I have a good understanding of everything now and looking forward to throwing myself into the game today.
Gaz is always good value at these bootcamps. Well reasoned and trustworthy comments 🙂 And agreed…the watermill is shiny goodness!
Thanks very much buddy. Watermills are lovely 🙂
Seen with the zenithal higlights the characters pop even more.
Great work 4Ground and good luck painting.
I bet you will have great fun with em.
They really are lovely models and have fantastic crisp detailing due to the production process.
I totally agree, the miniatures are awesome. And what i learned about the game so far is really interesting. The combination of roleplaying aspects and wargaming makes this game really outstanding.
It’s very adaptable and easily able to cater to homemade narrative games.
Ive said it before and a I’ll say it again these minis and this game is unbelieveable. If Im honest Ive not been able to plan much else hobby wise since the kickstarter. Everything Im seeing now Im trying to think of how I can fit it in. I’m so excited, getting others in the club as excited is impossible but theyre getting there, if not ive got my boys to play with for the time being!!
Sweet minis.
nice to see emthusiasm
Its amazing to think not so long ago we were all wondering whether 3d printed miniatures would be any good…..yup they are lol
Crazy times and what’s it going to be like in another 10 years
lol love the office banter
I’m pondering how I will base mine. Clear can be cool, but not always as striking as a themed base.
I ended up theming my Orc base with the forces theme. A little bit of a Highlander feel with blues on the model and blue flowers on the base. For me that felt right and looks better imo
I like the dynamic pose of the Elf, the pointing finger of the leader, the magic whirling gnome and the advancing Goblin spear. All must haves. no doubt!
The Sell Swords are really lovely but then so is everything else I have seen 🙂
I’m so impressed with the quality of the 3D prints. I’ve gotten some 3D printed parts in the past and they look great. Then you apply a wash to them and then all the fine print lines appear. From what I’ve seen here so far there is none of that.
Yeah they are using machines that are producing models with a seamless transition between the layers.
Agree with Gaz the Orc is amazing!!!!
A really cool thing as well is I wanted him for my leader and so within the rules and warband build I have subbed out the original force leader for him which is awesome. 😀
Nice miniatures and looks like they will turn out epic
Topman Gaz, I look forward to seeing the range all painted up.
Yeah no doubt I am going to really enjoy these. I need to pace myself though until KS fulfilment 😀
Hey roomy!!
Glad to see you’re tucking into more painting. Your orc is looking very good mate and the models must be good if your giving them that much praise, not quite as good as your Mythos ones though……. 😉
Hey buddy, I am in a different room this time on my own 🙂
The great thing is Ben had made it a game where we can migrate stuff like Click Clack and the Goat into Fabled Realms 😀
Great paint job as usual. And I’ll add my vote for the watermill.
Cheers buddy, one of the mentioned another one should be going to design too 😀
love the ork
He really is a lovely model to paint.
Gaz does nice work.
Thank you buddy
i get a real mordhiem vibe from some of the minis
The figures no look good love the ELF? Guy.
the guy in the background wears a shirt with a hobgoblin, fun fact tis a beer and it’s called hobgoblin
One of the biggest problems I have with minis game is the lack of female models in groups. Going the route of 3D resin printing instead of making mold dies means you can make the models more varied without the investment of the dies which tie you into a set group of models.
Wow that one painted model looks soooo good.
Thanks very much.
Can’t wait to get my hands on these later on in the year
Me neither and now with the backerkit open I can grab more that I didn’t pick during the first one.
