We check out this awesome fleet from noyjatat which was painted up over the weekend. I love the design of the ships and this paint scheme really bought them to life.
What do you think of the UCM paint job here?

A decent colour scheme, I’d say. I like the sand-ish look of the ships!

space camo! if they were on clear bases in that first photo it’d be easy to miss them altogether. brilliant!
i do like the paint job…..the camo type patterns apeels to me for some reason……oh no i am getting flash backs…..
. . . and that seals my choice. UCM will be the fleet for me.
I’m still waging… UCM has pretty appealing fluff and ships look as I imagine them to be in 100 or 200 years (after we’re in spacefaring). But then I see Scourge and it’s like “Squidheads for life!” =) Scourge have (maybe) not the best aesthetics like PHR have, but definitely most alien looking models.
And that’s where I’m losing myself and can’t decide. =)
Awesome – that scene matches the green UCM Dropzone sceme i favor.
Simple yet complex.
The gun barrels could use a bit of metallic paint or even a wash IMHO, but the overall design is great, well done!

On another note: I like the holographic ground assets. I thought the models where simply to much out of scale, but it makes thematic sense this way.
The camo is so good I can hardly see the ships.

That fleet was probably the star UCM fleet in the photographs. Just like those sapphire Shaltari, marine creature Scourge, and of course, the Post Humanity Banana Republic PHR.

How do you guys paint so nice so quickly?
Good question.
I sprayed white, washed dark tone, then picked out panels with the green and white keeping it thin to show the dark tone wash through, blue the engines and windows and silver, dark tone wash and silver highlighted the metals. I used most of the free time between games and ate my food while painting but the details are very clean and easy to bring out which is a credit to the Hawk Games guys.
You did almost not leave the painting area. But that said. Great work – from someone who did see the fleet for real
Love the colors, those sides on the smaller ships with the squares along it. super swanky!
I like the detail and interesting shapes that feature on all of the fleets – so much scope for letting your imagination run riot. You could go bananas… oh wait 🙂
utterly amazing colour scheme, I love the blotchy grey, the white and green panels, they really stand out. If you photoshopped the stands out you could probably make a convincing orbital scene with them on that mat!
Of the UCM this is my favourite scheme, closely followed by the black and red one spotted last night
